Two Kiwi mums. A lot of skincare mistakes. And a mission to make sure the next generation does it better.

Same mistakes.
New generation.
Different era.
We've been there. And trust us when we say - made all of the skincare mistakes (many we won't share on here) Scrubbing our faces with products that promised clear skin and delivered something closer to a chemical peel. Trying whatever the magazines said, then whatever their friends said, then whatever was.....available.
Fast forward to today the mistakes are the same. The era is completely different. We're on a mission to make sure teens don't make the same skincare mistakes we did and educate parents + teens around the importance of age appropriate skincare.

Too many products
10 step routines designed for adult skin - overwhelming and completely unnecessary for teens whose skin needs gentle, not complex.

Ingredients too strong
PSA: Teen's don't need anti aging products. Retinols, AHAs, BHAs = Long term barrier damage for teens.

Online advice that isn't always age appropriate. Products not made for developing skin. The same gap we fell into - still there, just louder now.

The world of teen skincare has gotten louder, more expensive and a lot more confusing. Teens aren't just reaching for a simple cleanser, instead $80 serums & anti aging brands their Mum's use.
We remember what it felt like when skin made life harder than it needed to be. The way it followed you around. The way a bad skin day at 14 felt enormous - because at 14, it kind of is.
Our goal was simple Create something gentle enough for teen skin. but effective enough to actually make a difference. Honest enough that a parent could feel good about what was going on their kid's face.

with Korean skincare
As Korean skincare enthusiasts ourselves, we knew there must be a way to incorporate Korean beauty principles and philosophy into teen skincare and make it NZ Made.
So what actually makes Korean skincare different?
It comes down to one idea that changes everything: healthy skin starts with a strong barrier.
When we sat down with NZ cosmetic chemists to start building Loopi, we brought that Korean philosophy into every conversation. Every formula decision came back to the same questions. Does this protect the barrier? Is this appropriate for developing skin?
The result is three products with nothing unnecessary or too strong. We created something missing from the shelves - Korean Inspired Skincare for teens & tweens that's proudly made right here in New Zealand.
